About Colin Renton

A native of the Scottish Borders, Colin now lives in Edinburgh. He follows the game at all levels from grassroots to international, mainly covering the Tennent’s Premiership and Guinness PRO14. He also takes an interest in French rugby. He has written about the game for more than two decades since work and family commitments ended his own sporting career. He contributes to local, regional and national newspapers as well as magazines and websites. Colin is not a huge fan of governing bodies being run by businessmen with no empathy for the game, or spin doctors spouting half truths and fake news.
