British and Irish Lions man Kyle Sinckler has apologised after being arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning following the Lions 1-1 draw against the All Blacks.

The incident which took place was stated by Auckland police as minor, and “,did not warrant prosecution.” Instead he was taken back to the team accommodation following his eventful night out.

The Englishman has since expressed his regret in the incident, stating; “I apologise for putting myself and the Lions in this position, I also apologise to the police and anyone else affected.”

Lions tour Manager John Spencer has assured the media that the situation has been dealt with, stating; “Kyle has apologised for any inconvenience caused and we are satisfied that he regrets this incident and that this is the end of the matter.”

It is not yet understood what the situation in Auckland entailed, but it mustn’t have been too serious considering the light consequences of an apology.
