The British and Irish Lions will face the Crusaders tomorrow in their third warm up game prior to playing the All Blacks.

The Lions have had a poor start to the tour, with one defeat and a rather unconvincing win against arguably the weakest side on the tour. Now their road to success does not get any easier, as Crusaders assistant coach Leon MacDonald has dubbed their youngster Richie Mo’unga as the next Dan Carter.

MacDonald played with Carter in his period at the Crusaders and also in the All Blacks set up, being the reason why he was so confident in labelling the young talent; stating, “There is a lot of Dan Carter in Richie Mo’unga,” which will certainly put a smile on Richie’s face ahead of tomorrow.

The Crusaders assistant coach went on to say “He’s very casual, he enjoys a laugh, he’s a bit of a joker and I think you need that temperament as a 10.”. Prior to making the big statement, he said that he did not want to add any un-needed pressure to his performance for tomorrow, but with the strong mindset of the Kiwi, he didn’t think the compliment would affect his game.

We can see him in action against the Lions tomorrow morning.
