Sam Warburton will captain the British and Irish Lions in their tour of New Zealand next month, and he has now said that he is ready for the task.
He has said to Sky Sports yesterday that; “…today I trained fully. We did full contact, and I was absolutely fine. That’s all the boxes ticked, and now I can crack on…”, which will be music to the ears of Lions fans.
The Wales man has been out since the beginning of April with a knee injury, but this has not deterred him from doing his best to get back fit and take the Lions on tour.
The Lions begin their tour on the 3rd of June.
