Wasps man Danny Cipriani has backed team mate Elliot Daly to have the potential to snatch himself a place on the Lions tour.
“He’s got the ability,” Cipriani said to the Rugby Union Weekly podcast. And he certainly showed this at the weekend, as he even got England the winner as his quick feet allowed him to get in at the corner in the dying moments of the game.
Gatland has a lot of work to do before he chooses his side to take on tour, but Daly can certainly make it, especially with performances like the one at the weekend.
Cipriani also went on to say that; “He’s extremely quick, with a good skill-set, and his left foot is underrated,” which are all of the skill sets which any team would gladly welcome. Although, the Lions have more depth than most in their squad; with 3 nations of players to choose from, it could be a tricky one for Daly.
Who would like to see young Daly get a place on the Lions tour later this year?
