England coach Eddie Jones will be pleased that he has won the Rugby Union Writers’ Club Pat Marshall memorial award. It was much deserved down to his phenomenal year with England; leading them to a 100% win rate in the series against the Wallabies; a 6 Nations trophy and an impressive unbeaten year.
Eddie was not alone in getting the high praises, as former Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan also won the prestigious award due to his outstanding time with Fiji, which led to them getting their hands on the Olympic gold in Rio 2016 after beating a shocked England side in the Final 43-7.
Although Ryan left the conquering Pacific Island side, he will have his eyes on a bigger role in the future down to his great success with Fiji. Eddie will be looking to continue his undefeated record when England attempt to retain their Six Nations title next month.
