The Opening Weekend is upon us, and yes we are excited about all of the Aviva Premiership’s new superstars… Taulupe Faletau, J.P Piertersen, Wille Le Roux and Cameron Holenstein…
HOWEVER.. as exciting as those known and unknown entities are the kits that our beloved teams will be donning is also a hot topic. SO we thought a round up is in order. Except Exeter who’s shirts has eluded us and Sale Sharks’ Away offering too cannot be found, if you can locate these then please comment below.
We will split them up just as Uncle Clint would’ve wanted: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ..patterns.
This section is pretty sparse in our opinion. Two jerseys jump out at us are Quins’ Home and Away and Warriors; Home and Away. These kits are beautiful and for some reason is making me believe that both clubs will do very well this season… Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good to the extreme. Bath and Saracens also make it into the good for great Away offerings.
The Bad (mediocre):
Unfortunately quite a lot to choose from in here : From Bristols away kit which looks like a Village Cricket Teams shirt to Gloucester’s Away kit which looks like Bella McKrartney designed it. The is a lot of ‘nothing special’ in this group as well. Wasps’ kit can go either way, however for us it is falling short.
Wow… Just Wow. It’s at time like these where you think, is someone actually getting paid here to design that. It has been officially reported that there is no more neon left in the world after the Leicester Tigers Jersey was made….2nd fact about the abysmal away jersey is that with every purchase you get a free share in Hincley Point Nuclear Power station. The last jersey to fall in here is Newcastle’s full Home and Away offering… it is just bleak.
Enjoy the weekend and hopefully some of these look better on the pitch.
