training wear

We were lucky enough the other week to be sent over a couple of items from the new Canterbury training wear range for review. This included the new Vapodri Cotton Tee and the Vaposhield Elite Cotton Shorts.

Both items are designed as training wear, however given the design, it would be easy enough to wear them as casual wear as well. The tee shirt in particular is great for wearing with a pair of jeans, given it’s simplistic design with the iconic Canterbury logo.

The Vapodri tee is designed to provide comfort and freedom to move during training, and certainly doesn’t disappoint on this front. Whilst it has a natural cotton feel, it dries a lot quicker than traditional cotton tees (75% better apparently) which is fantastic for heavy training sessions.

Due to having the additional stretch, the tee is perfect, even for some of the bigger boys in the front row, and is a huge improvement on many tees which can often feel uncomfortable in certain places when it is forced to stretch too far.

The Vaposhield Shorts also had the feel of cotton, but with a comfort stretch style fit. They have also been designed to be breathable, and reduce drying time by around 40%. Again this is particularly important in the gym.

The elasticated waistband is also an added bonus ensuring a comfort fit without the risk of them falling down. The mesh pockets are also a nice feature meaning you can easily store your phone and wallet, but without adding to the overall weight too much.

I have to say, I’ve always been a big fan of Canterbury gear, and the latest training gear takes things on to the next level. My only potential criticism at this stage would be the lack of colour options available, however beyond this I would be more than happy to buy more from the range.
