The Fantasy Six Nations Team Of The Week

|||The Fantasy Six Nations Team Of The Week

We’ve put together the Six Nations team of the week based on the ESPN Fantasy Rugby top scorers during week one of the tournament…

Back Three

Mike Brown – 6pts

A full appearance and a nice chip through for Anthony Watson’s try earns Mike Brown a total of 6 points against Wales.

Anthony Watson – 8pts

The England man chipped in with a try and full appearance to make him the top points scorer out of all players available in the back three.

Dougie Fife – 6pts

Despite only coming on off the bench after an injury to Tommy Seymour, Fife’s try earned him 5 points in addition to his appearance point.

Jonathan Joseph – 8pts

A full 80 minutes and a try from wriggling through the Welsh defence made Joseph one of this weeks top points scorers.

Fly Half

Camille Lopez – 13pts

Lopez’s points from the boot earned France victory over Scotland this weekend and also made him the weeks top points scorer.

Scrum Half

Conor Murray – 12pts

Murray was the weekends top points scorer ignoring kicks after picking up a total of 12 points, including five for his try.

Back Row

Tommy O’Donnell – 8pts

Despite not even being set to start the game, O’Donnell received a last minute start and proceeded to score one of Ireland’s two tries.

Taulupe Faletau – 6pts

Powerful Welsh number 8 Faletau was one of the few stand-outs for Wales after setting up a try off the back of a retreating scrum.

Billy Vunipola – 3pts

The final place in the back row could have gone to one of several players who made a full appearance which earned 3 points.

Second Row

Dave Attwood – 3 pts

There were no obvious stand-out candidates in the second row points wise so it simply came down to which players made a full appearance.

Yoann Maestri – 3pts

As above, with no second row earning more than the points available for a full appearance there were several options in the position.

Front Row

Euan Murray – 5pts

Murray’s pass to set up Dougie Fife’s try sees him become the top scoring front row forward of the first weekend.

Richard Hibbard – 3pts

A full 80 minutes for Richard Hibbard saw him earn the maximum 3 points for his appearance and means he makes our top three.

Dan Cole – 2pts

The remaining position in the front row could have gone to one of several players who all earned 2 points for a partial appearance.
