Our World XV With A Twist

So the idea of this team is to pick ‘units’ from each of the best teams in the world and have them form a World XV with a twist.

The rules are simply, you can only select players from one nation to cover each of these areas; front row, second row, back row, half backs, centres and back three. Here’s our attempt, let us know who would make your side…

1.Tendai Mtawarira (SA)

2.Bismarck du Plessis (SA)

3.Jannie du Plessis (SA)

4.Joe Launchbury (Eng)

5.Courtney Lawes (Eng)

6.Yannick Nyanga (Fra)

7.Thierry Dusautoir (Fra)

8.Damien Chouly (Fra)

9.Conor Murray (Ire)

10.Johnny Sexton (Ire)

11.Julian Savea (NZ)

12.Jamie Roberts (Wal)

13.Jonathan Davies (Wal)

14.Ben Smith (NZ)

15.Israel Dagg (NZ)

Have a go yourself using the rules above and let us know who would make your team…

  1. Cian Healy
    Rory Best
    Mike Ross
    Eben Etzebeth
    Victor Matfield
    Richie McCaw
    Sam Cane
    Kieran Reid
    Conor Murray
    Johnny Sexton
    Henry Speight
    Wesley Fofana
    Mathieu Bastareaud
    James O’Connor
    Israel Folau

  2. if you’re going to pick the french back line you surely have to include Picamoles.

  3. I reckon the England or Argentinian front row would be better than the SA one.

    I’d probably do
    Front Row – ARG
    2nd Row – ENG
    Backrow – SA
    Halves – IRE
    Centres – WAL
    Outside Backs – NZ

  4. Can they only be from one country once? I think Whitelock and Retallick would be hard to beat, along with a Kaino, McCaw, Read backrow and Nonu and Smith midfield.
