Lions XV to face Provincial Barbarians

The British and Irish Lions side to face the Provincial Barbarians has now been named.

Gatland has said that, “We have named a side that showcases a strong combination of experience and youth..” which could bring quite a show when it comes to Saturday’s early game.

Some of Gatland’s choices are not available for the first fixture, but will join the side after the weekend, making it a make or break for some of the players. Althoough, the Kiwi appreciates that every man will want his chance, being why; “it is still the plan to try and give the whole squad a start in the next two matches.”
