Gatland’s injury worries take a positive turn.

Warren Gatland British and Irish Lions head coach

It is now less than a month until the Lions kick off their 2017 tour of New Zealand. They travel to Whangarei on the 3rd of June, in their opening game against the New Zealand Barbarians.

As Lions and New Zealand Rugby fans alike are ecstatic for the start of the tour; Gatland currently faces the headache of injuries, with the likes of Sam Warburton, Alun Wyn-Jones and Conor Murray fighting to get back fit.

Although, the Lions boss will be glad to hear that all three are set to be back fit for the start of the tour, meaning that he should have his two Welsh captains back, which will certainly be a weight off the shoulders of the Lions; with Warburton and Jones being influential figures for Wales.

No matter who you’re backing next month, this video will certainly have you up for the tour!
