David Perry has passed away aged 79. The Rugby legend captained England in the 1965 Five Nations tournament just two years after starting his International career.

He was also one of the faces in the squad taken to New Zealand for England’s first overseas tour; in what was only his first year in an England shirt back in 1963.

Along with his duty for his home nation, he also played an important role at his club side Bedford, where he became somewhat of a veteran of the club as he ended his club career with over 100 caps under his belt.

Rest in peace David Perry.
