Hartley missed training on Tuesday with his Exeter understudy Luke Cowan-Dickie possibly coming in for the crunch clash
Dylan Hartley is a doubt for England’s Grand Slam mission to France and in danger of missing the biggest Test of his career.
The England captain cut a forlorn figure on the sidelines today as his team trained without him under the watchful eye of head coach Eddie Jones.
Should the situation remain, Jones would have to start with Hartley’s Exeter understudy, Luke Cowan-Dickie whose only two caps have come off the bench.
Tommy Taylor, Sale’s Wasps-bound hooker, trained in Hartley’s absence. He is new into the squad and has yet to win a cap.
England have already been crowned champions but are aiming for their first Grand Slam since 2003.
