It is being reported that Wallabies star Quade Cooper could be set to join a number of Wallabies stars heading to France after this year’s World Cup.
The mercurial fly half is believed to be a target for big spending Top 14 side Toulon who hope to draft him in alongside former Wallaby duo Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell.
The move would see Cooper playing alongside All Blacks centre Ma’a Nonu in a star-studded side that won the European and Domestic double last season.
Toulon Chariman Mourad Boudjellal last year claimed he wanted to sign ‘the fantastic four’ of world rugby, without specifying the names of the four individuals he would target.
Cooper’s agent Khoder Nasser, who could not be reached for comment, has previously delivered another star client, Sonny Bill Williams, to Toulon.
A part of Boudjellal’s genius is to have nearly every high-profile player linked to his club when they’re off contract, however, and he reportedly “negotiates” with up to 90 players a year.
