Sale Sharks and England star Danny Cipriani has put his upturn in form down to giving up women and sex.
‘I’ve given up women and sex,’ said the 26 year old after forcing his way onto England’s tour of New Zealand this summer.
‘Despite what you might read in the papers, I haven’t had a proper girlfriend for 18 months.
‘It’s all about concentration. My past relationships with girls in the limelight became public and took away my focus,’ adds Cipriani, whose string of celebrity exes include models Kelly Brook and Katie Price.
‘I’m now based in Manchester playing for Sale and leading a much quieter life. I have got a nice place in the countryside away from the city, and avoid nightclubs.
‘I don’t get lonely and I’m more sensible now about the type of girls I go for.’
This comes after Cipriani was outed last year for supposedly ‘sexting’ a string of women whilst still in a relationship with Kelly Brook.
Whilst Cipriani’s focus will be on retaining his place in Stuart Lancaster’s England squad during the Autumn International series later this year, rumours continue to mount that he could be set for a return to London next season with Harlequins the front runners for his signature.
