Reports are emerging that Welsh prop Adam Jones is on the very of joining former Ospreys Ryan Jones, Matthew Morgan and Ian Evans at Championship side Bristol next season.
It is believed that Jones has turned down a new deal with current club the Ospreys in addition to the offer of a central contract by the WRU.
Jones is believed to prefer a move over the Severn Bridge to join cash rich Greene King IPA Championship side Bristol who are coached by former England and Scotland boss Andy Robinson
In addition to Jones, Morgan and Evans, the Welsh prop would be joined by other former Welsh stars Dwayne Peel and Nicky Robinson.
Whilst Jones’ stock may have fallen over the last 12 months as he struggled to come to terms with the new scrummaging laws, his stock is still high and there is no shortage of potential suitors.
Whilst it was believed that he may look to link up with former Ospreys boss Lyn Jones at Newport-Gwent Dragons it appears he now favours a move to Bristol in a bid to escape the current strife engulfing rugby in Wales.
Jones was also believed to have been one a six marquee players offered a central contract by the WRU in a bid to avoid another player drain in Wales. Whilst Sam Warburton opted to take up the offer, Blues team-mate Leigh Halfpenny is heading to France whilst several others are still deciding upon their futures.
Do you think this would be the right move for Jones?
