Super Rugby Round 19 Review – Massive Margins!

super-rugby

Super Rugby Round 19 was anything but normal with several matches tipped to be close, ending up being ridiculously one sided.  Who would have thought that the Lions would beat the Cheetahs by 60-25 and that there would only be one bonus point for a losing team finishing within seven points?

The top four teams at the end of Super Rugby regular season all had bigger than expected wins, which was surprising given that most of these matches were between teams who were relatively similarly placed going into the round.

With the exception of the Blues vs Chiefs, the other matches winning margins ranged from 22 to 35 points.  This caused problems for most punters and was far higher than the 12 point average winning margin previously in Super Rugby 2014.

We have found the Top Six with the Waratahs gaining the top position followed by the Crusaders, Sharks, Brumbies, Chiefs and Highlanders.

In the Super Rugby Tips conference olec has a comfortable lead, while the points earned per game will be lifted with only two games in Super Rugby Top Six finals.

It is sad to see the end of nine teams in Super Rugby 2014 and great games every weekend.

Who are you picking to meet in the Super Rugby 2014 final?
