Super 15 Rugby Team of Round 1

Cheetahs fullback Willie Le Roux was the best player in Super Rugby Round 1 according to the statistics at www.testrugby.com, do you agree?

Super Rugby

The Super Rugby XV Team of  Round 1 2014 has been named with some fresh faces and it is difficult to know how many of these players will continue to gain selection in the Super Rugby XV Team of the Round in the future.

Selections here are totally based on statistics from website www.testrugby.com, but it is interesting to see Cheetahs fullback Willie Le Roux thriving with the Cheetahs.  He has been giving a roving commission role and this should continue to reward managers who select him.  He scored a massive 450 points from two assists, three line breaks, two tackles, eight caught kicks and five go forwards.

Star goal kicker Marnitz Boshoff was the unluckiest player to miss out on the Super Rugby XV Team of Round 1 courtesy of the late try to Sharks pivot Patrick Lambie.  With a value of under half what Lambie is worth, assuming he maintains his starting spot, Boshoff is definitely worth a shot!

If you are looking to boost your chances in fantasy sports then your best option is to pick players who score tries and Cheetahs left winger Raymond Rhule is a good value option here, while Sharks halfback Cobus Reinach quite possibly also owes his selection to the controversial try he scored against the Bulls.

Interestingly there are no Bulls in the Super Rugby XV Team of Round 1 2014 with the team featuring seven Sharks, six Cheetahs and two Lions.

Here is the Super Rugby Round 1 Team of the Round for www.testrugby.com managers.  There are only 12 players in www.testrugby.com teams.  There is still no room for Lions kicker Boshoff, while there are plenty of household names in this team.

Adriaan Strauss and Bismarck Du Plessis are always worth considering, while most of the other forwards to make this team are probably worth considering moving forward.  In the backs, Patrick Lambie and Willie Le Roux are probably the best long term options, while Raymond Rhule is a great value try scoring winger.

There are six Sharks, five Cheetahs, two Bulls and one Lions player, although there are three centres tied for one centre spot in this team.
