England Squad Announcement

Lancaster

Apparently some girl from the Black Eyed Peas called Fergie retired today so somehow this resulted in the England squad announcement being demoted to the very bottom of the sporting pile. Well without further ado here it is;

Kyle Eastmond (Bath Rugby, uncapped)
Ben Foden (Northampton Saints, 30 caps)

Jonathan Joseph (London Irish, 4 caps)
Jonny May (Gloucester Rugby, uncapped)
David Strettle (Saracens, 13 caps)
Joel Tomkins (Saracens, uncapped)
Billy Twelvetrees (Gloucester Rugby, 4 caps)
Christian Wade (London Wasps, uncapped)
Richard Wigglesworth (Saracens, 12 caps)
Marland Yarde (London Irish, uncapped)

As expected the squad is predominantly made up of younger players who will cap off an excellent season with their likely test début mixed with a couple of established and fringe players. I for one am delighted to see the likes of Tomins, Vunipola, Wade, Thomas, Kvesic and May involved. There is also a welcome return to the test side for the impressive Richard Wigglesworth whilst the likes of Jonathan Joseph and Billy Twelvetrees look set to make a claim for the centre slots. I’m slightly disappointed to see Will Fraser has been overlooked after an outstanding season for Sarries but overall can’t be too disappointed with the exciting squad above.
